COVID-19 Pa Shutdown Notice

Dale Team,

By now, you probably have heard the news that Governor Wolf has extended his Shutdown Order in Pennsylvania. It now is requiring all but “life-sustaining” businesses to close their physical locations effective immediately due to the continued spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Construction Industry and all its Subsectors are specifically covered by this Shutdown Order. With that in mind, please be advised that we are taking action to close all applicable operations in the field, at project sites, and within our main offices in accordance with Governor Wolf’s updated Shutdown Order.

Tomorrow, Friday March 20, 2020 please take all actions necessary at each project site and the main office to secure all property and equipment in anticipation of an extended period of closure.  As of right now, we do not have specific information as to how long this shutdown will last. Please plan accordingly.  The shutdown checklist (CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 WORKPLACE STALLED SITE PLAN) was provided by the GBCA to serve as a general guideline for project shutdown. It should be reviewed by all supervisors and foremen for any applicable provisions that apply to your particular site to ensure the protection of all sites and safety of the public during the shutdown.

Please be assured that all payroll will be processed, and any remittances will be made, as normally would occur. All paychecks or vouchers will be sent by mail or by electronic delivery. In addition, we have made several recent adjustments to continue operations remotely, where possible.  As such, we encourage everyone of us in the Dale family to utilize this opportunity to not only keep essential operations moving but to improve our systems to strengthen our future.

We have received notification that Pennsylvania Workers affected by COVID-19 may be eligible for Unemployment Benefits.  Information, including eligibility, can be found at the pa.gov website at (Pa Unemployment Notice 3/16/20).  Specifically, there is a link on the site that indicates Unemployment compensation claims should be submitted online for faster processing.

We are confident that this will pass in due time and we can all get back to working together. The whole Dale community has always been a very close family and thoughts are with us all in this very difficult time.  Please take every precaution to protect yourself and your families. When we return, the Dale family will adapt to the new normal and continue to be the premier organization we have always been.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach to your supervisor or any of us.

Thank you and stay safe!
