Dale Team,
To follow up on last evening’s communication in response to Governor Wolf’s order shutting down non-life-sustaining businesses due to the continued spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are providing this update to help us all navigate these unprecedented times.
Consistent with Governor Wolf’s order, after today our main office will not be open for general business. Please be assured that we have taken the steps necessary to ensure that operations and functions usually conducted within our offices will continue remotely. We would like to maintain as near a regular work week as possible and specific assignments will be communicated next week on a departmental basis.
Due to the inability to work created by the Governor’s Order, any field workers unable to report to a project for work are unfortunately and regretfully laid-off after today. Payroll will be processed on Tuesday, as usual, and all paychecks or vouchers will be mailed since no delivery to job sites will be possible.
Unfortunately, the entire industry is struggling with how to manage this ever-changing situation. At this time, it is our best understanding that certain projects may not be immediately impacted by Governor Wolf’s shutdown order and that field operations on these projects may continue. All Dale Team members who are operating in the field should contact their supervisor to determine the status of each project. We completely understand that some of you may be uncomfortable returning to the project site. We know that this decision is not an easy one, and we respect your decision.
We are confident that this is a temporary measure. In the meantime, we remain committed to protecting the health and well-being of the Dale families and our community. Please take every precaution to protect yourself and your families.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach to your supervisor or any of us.
Thank you and stay safe!
