Dale Team,
As always, our primary focus remains the health and safety of our people and their families. To this end, the email sent out by Andy last week about various ways to protect ourselves and those around us (copy attached) is of the utmost importance: wash your hands, don’t touch your face, maintain social distancing, and stay home if you are sick.
We are all experiencing unprecedentedly confusing times regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) so we thought it would be helpful to provide an update relating to our main office and project site activities.
According to the applicable state and local government orders pertaining to our projects, construction is considered an essential service/sector that is not expected to halt operations. Although this could change, until we are advised otherwise it is imperative that we continue our operations in a manner that protects our workers as well as the general public. Our field operations include activities that cannot be performed “from home” or remotely. Therefore, where possible, everyone should employ social distancing best practices, avoid gatherings of 10 or more people, perform routine cleaning and review the CDC guidelines on how to protect yourself (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html).
To support our field operations, the main office must remain open. However, to limit the possibility of Coronavirus exposure, we understand that employees who have the ability to work from home may wish to do so. For those who come to the office to perform their duties, please follow the same guidelines as recommended previously and assist others by regularly cleaning all frequently touched surfaces with the disinfecting solutions provided in each building. In addition, to the extent possible, we ask each department to coordinate a rotational or staggered schedule for coverage of duties that must be performed from within the office and encourage others to work from home when possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free reach out to Andy, Floyd, your supervisor or any of us.
Please all take the added precautions necessary during this outbreak to keep our entire Dale family, and those around us, safe. Remember: wash your hands, don’t touch your face, maintain social distancing, stay at home if you are sick, and limit direct face-to-face interactions as much as possible.
Thank you and stay safe!
