MEWP Training Module 7: Properly Operating a MEWP MEWP Lifting and Transporting
  • All MEWPs manufactured by JLG have provisions for lifting  and for securing the machine during transportation.
  • Lifting Lugs
  • Lifting lugs are used for lifting the machine. They are rated to support  the entire weight of the machine when the machine is lifted by a  crane.
  • Tie Downs
  • A tie-down is an opening in the machine frame that is used to attach  the machine to a truck or trailer during transportation of the machine
