Forward Stability

• Forward stability – the ability to resist upsetting with the  platform falling toward the ground
• Configuration:
• Least Favorable Configuration
• Over the side, fully extended horizontally, full load in the platform

Backward Stability

• Backward stability – the ability to resist upsetting with the  counterweight falling toward the ground
• Configuration:
• Least Favorable Configuration
• Over the side, fully elevated, fully retracted, no load in platform, platform  rotated 90°
