Practical Training (Hands-On)

Under direction and evaluation of the qualified trainer, the  trainee shall operate (hands-on) the MEWP for a sufficient  period of time to demonstrate proficiency regarding the  following:​

• Walk around and familiarization with MEWP​
• Major components, identification and function​
• Perform pre‐start inspection, carry out daily checks and inspections​
• Planning the route of travel and worksite inspection​
• Setting the MEWP for work (if applicable)​
• Operation and function of all controls, completing course tasks​
• Parking and securing the MEWP
